Moringa School, in collaboration with CompTIA, a leading provider of vendor-neutral IT certification, has launched an 18-week Cyber Security Analyst Course (CySA+). The partnership began with an exclusive masterclass and networking event aimed at equipping cybersecurity professionals with the skills needed to protect organizations from emerging threats.
Themed ‘Future Proofing the Cybersecurity Workforce’, the event catered to industry executives, educators, chief technology officers (CTOs, CISOs), and IT managers. It aimed to provide participants with the knowledge to navigate the rapidly evolving technological landscape and address the growing complexity of cyber threats.
During the masterclass, attendees learned practical strategies to enhance their cybersecurity teams’ skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for future challenges. The event also served as a valuable networking opportunity, bringing together key industry figures committed to strengthening cyber resilience.
A highlight of the event was a session by Dr. Bright Gameli, a cybersecurity expert and member of Moringa’s Tech Advisory Board. Titled ‘Building a Cyber Resilience Strategy: Technology, Skills, and Teams’, Dr. Gameli emphasized the importance of securing high-risk organizational assets. He stressed the need to upskill current staff to close security gaps and build a robust cyber defense strategy.
“Cyber resilience is essential in today’s digital world. Organizations must prioritize asset risk identification to develop effective recovery plans,” said Dr. Gameli. He added that many roles, like software developers, often prioritize functionality over security—a mindset that needs to shift to reduce vulnerabilities.
Nikki Germany, CEO of Moringa School, echoed this sentiment, stating, “At Moringa, we’re not just preparing students for the future; we’re committed to equipping entire organizations with the expertise needed to thrive in a digital world. The growing cybersecurity skills gap presents both a challenge and an opportunity. Through partnerships like this, we aim to bridge that gap.”
Clare Korir, Head of Product at Moringa School, highlighted the comprehensive curriculum of the Cyber Security Analyst course, which includes training in vulnerability management, threat hunting, and incident response. The program prepares professionals for certification, empowering them to lead their organizations in maintaining effective cybersecurity defenses.
